Although 2020 has been a crazy year for everyone, I thought we could all use a break and talk about our favorite projects of 2020 so far and why. Right now my favorite albums of this year have been...
1. Circles - Mac Miller
2. A Written Testimony - Jay Electronica
3. Dark Lane Demo Tapes - Drake
1) Circles is a very special album for me and every other Mac fan because it was the last album we will ever see from such an amazing artist. There are almost no skips on this album and we get to hear more singing from Mac which is something he always wanted to do and he finally got to and he did such an amazing job.
2) A Written Testimony was a really enjoyable album especially if you are the kind of person who enjoys lyricism in your music. Jay Electronica just has a very interesting and unique way of rapping that it makes you want to listen to his verses on any song. That combined with Hov being on several songs on the album makes it so satisfying to listen to.
3) Dark Lane Demo Tapes This album was surprising to me because, in my opinion, Drake has just been dropping some mid projects in the past few years. DLDT is honestly, in my opinion, the best project that Drake has dropped in awhile. Several songs on DLDT hit harder than any Drake song has hit since Take Care. For once in a while, I am excited to listen to Drake's next album considering DLDT is supposed to just be throwaways.

So there's a few albums that have been on my heavy rotation in 2020. It was somewhat hard to pinpoint my favorites but I think I found the ones.
1) Everything by Kota the Friend. Kota has been on my radar for a few years and when I found out he was releasing an album, I was ecstatic. He released a great summer album that I find myself going back to listen at least once a week!
2) Circles by Mac. Same thing wit your Brandon! It was a great closure album from him that really wrapped up his legacy as being one of the greatest artists of our generation.
3) Eternal Atake by Uzi. I'm not the biggest Uzi fan but after many long delays due to label issues and him wanting to enjoy his life outside of being a rapper, I felt he delivered a pretty solid album. I was somewhat surprised to listen to the album because I was expecting something somewhat mediocre but he came through with perfect songs that I had to go back and listen to a few times.
